1. Take Control of Your Breathing
Breathing can have a significant impact on how stressed you are. When you feel stressed, your breathing may become shallow, fast, or irregular. You need to change this and take deep breaths that originate from your diaphragm. This will slow and deepen your breathing and signal to your body that you’re okay and not in fight-or-flight mode.
2. Take a Walk
Taking a quick walk and getting that feeling of fresh air can help reduce your stress. Going for a walk can be especially helpful if you are typically cooped up at home or in the office. For example, if you have been sitting at your desk all day, getting up and walking around can work wonders on making you feel relaxed for the rest of the day.
3. Take a Cup of Tea
Taking a relaxing cup of tea can help calm down your senses. Tea is also a great alternative to coffee when you feel stressed out. Make sure there’s no caffeine content on your tea, as this can have the opposite effect on your mind and body.
